Some people during their lifetime feel the need or want to go out, share what they know, help others in need, some would rather stay close and share, which is great too! I know missions are a big "Maybe" or "What If' in a christian's life. You may be someone who knows what they want and how to get it, but some people are just confused. Missions are hard, but think about getting to go out and help that person in need who's never heard of the gospel before. I'm sure we'd all love to tell someone about the one and only almighty God who sent his son to die for us, but it's hard. Am I right? Hard to pay, hard to leave, hard to know what to do, but I should tell you before even going any further that, God encourages us to go on mission, we don't have to leave the country, we don't even have to leave the state, but we are here to go on mission and in doing so sharing the gospel with everyone we can!

What Does 'Mission" mean?

Some people are confused by the meaning of mission, so for those people this is what mission means. Mission means that, we are sent on a mission to share the gospel. God doesn't say YOU MUST GO 20 HOURS AWAY AND PREACH IN FRONT OF 1,000 PEOPLE, no, he says we are to share the good works, plant that seed and he'll water it and make it full with the spirit, of course if that's his plan. We don't have to go far away, we could stay in our city even! Maybe your church or somewhere like Angel Tree is doing something like making food for the homeless or going to a funeral home and hanging out with the seniors, that is still a mission, there are people all around us that have never heard the gospel and it's our job to show it to them! That is what a mission is all about!

Bible Verses About Mission

Mark 10:45:

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

1 Peter 4:10:

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

Matthew 28:19-20:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Acts 13:47:

“For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

What Is God Trying To Tell Us?

We are called to share the gospel in whatever form we can, going to the ends of the Earth, as some people do, is amazing, and for those who maybe can't leave their family or are too scared, don't worry your time will come.

Problems?

I know it's not always the easiest to pay $1,000 and up and leave, so tell me your problems and I'll help! I'll also get some help from friends to make sure I answer your questions in the most helpful way possible. A few common problems are, Funding, Leaving, Being afraid of what's to come. For funding, there are so many people in this world who are willing to help you, I have a friend who posted something on facebook about it and all of her funds were paid for in 2 days! There are so many people out there willing to help you, you just have to ask, which I know can be tough, but really it's not as hard as it sounds! Leaving is also hard, I get it, you may have children and you feel the need to go, but you kinda can't... well to that I say, unless you have a very particular situation, to wait for your time, if God is calling for you then, he may be showing you that he's still there and you need to be ready for your time. If you love missions and that is what you want to do, then wait for your chance, it will come, just keep going towards it, you'll get there! Now for being afraid of what will come if you do go on one that's far away, one thing about going on missions far away is the travel, I know a lot of times you must fly and sometimes ride a boat, but you are going to fulfill God's wishes, you are going to show people how great he is and you need to trust that he will do what is best for you!

Conclusion

God is calling us to help him, we need to go on mission and show people how good he is, whether your mission is across the world or just around the block, we need to show people his Grace and what he has done for us. He encourages us to do so, and if we take that leap, he'll watch over us and help us through the tough times! Thank you very much for reading my post and I ensure you that any doubts you have can also be taken up with pastors or anyone in your church or around you that you trust! Make sure you give me feedback in the comments and tell me any questions you have, BYE!
